Just a tray... A product from Experimenta where the traditional Shou sugi ban technique is applied, burning wood to give the material specific characteristics, and when well combined, it exudes a wabi-sabi aura.

Challenge
Wood and fire, fire and wood. The goal of achieving the burnt sensation could actually end up burning the entire piece, but not enough fire wouldn't provide the necessary finish
Trying to learn the true and traditional Shou Sugi Ban technique (焼 杉 板) by researching its origins and characteristics to create a piece that could resemble more of a work of art.
